A music blog from Ireland.
Well it’s been two years since I first heard Not Squares doing their zany thing and boy, it’s been a trip following their developments as they went from guys with a crazy musical idea to guys with a crazy good album, Yeah Ok. It’s got all the live favourites like Asylum and Yeah! but some great new tracks like Release The Bees, Ban Ki Na and Smith & Carlos…absolute belters, the whole lot of em.

Released on the Richter Collective label, Yeah Ok has gone to iTunes and places that normally sell music but now sell truly ‘mazin’ music. You can catch the band on tour around Ireland with Two Door Cinema Club next week (if you have a gold-dust ticket) but they will be storming Dublin again on 22 December for the Richter Xmas Party at the Button Factory and again on New Year’s Eve with Les Savy Fav.
Jim Carroll has an interview with Not Squares in today’s Irish Times.
