Below is a free track Alphabet District by Modern Skins in advance of their debut album Push Buttons which is released digitally on Bandcamp tomorrow 1 July and launched in the Grand Social the following Friday, 8 July.

It’s a deceptively gentle song that swells to a lovely push but is not entirely indicative of the whole album, of which I’ve heard a few other snippets. Modern Skins are childhood friends Ross McKiernan, Niall Jackson and Declan Gildea who began making music together ten years ago before recruiting Steve McCann on drums. Push Buttons was recorded live in Shane Cullen’s K9 Studios and was mastered by Ronan McHugh who has also worked with Thin Lizzy and Def Leppard. The album is available to buy for just €5 from Bandcamp tomorrow or for €10 plus admission at the launch gig next week.

Thanks for this, just to update, the admission price of €10 to the show in The Grand Social will INCLUDE the album. €7 without.
Thanks,
Modern Skins
Yeah that’s what it says, €10 for the album and gig admission!
Good work!
