Mix :: Heft Fest

Following on from the success of the first Heft Fest in May, a second all-day run of shows has been announced for Upstairs in Whelans on 1 October. Last time, I made a mix (which unfortunately I had to delete due to space constraints on my Soundcloud account) and this time, the deadly promoters Hefty Horse have put one together especially.

The line-up is just as mighty this time around: Hefty Horse are bringing the esteemed David Dondero (named by NPR as one of the finest living songwriters alongside Bob Dylan and Tom Waits) to Ireland for a special show, while Crayonsmith will finally perform to a Dublin crowd as a trio, airing the new material they’ve been working on. Magic Pockets will bring that rich synthy sound and we’ll hear a return of I ❤ The Monster Hero who seems to have been quiet lately. Yawning Chasm will roll in from Galway, Big Monster Love is rocking down from Swords. And so much more! The River Fane, You Kiss By The Book!

It’s going to be a great day. Admission to the show is just €5 but I have two pairs of passes to give away to two random readers who email harmlessnoise@entertainment.ie by 12pm next Wednesday 21 September with ‘Hefty Festy’ in the subject line.
