Fame by furry proxy…this is the new video for We Cut Corners which was filmed entirely on thermal imaging camera by the director Eoghan Kidney. Those weird, featureless and inhuman faces are my cats! Well *some* of them, there may be other felines involved but the flash of “nuclear” cat bums are definitely mine.
The song is The Leopard which is the first single to be taken from WCC’s debut album Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards which will be released on the Delphi label in November. First comes the single release this Friday, a split with The Danger Is on 7″ clear vinyl, available to buy direct from Delphi or through Tower Records, the RAGE and Rough Trade in London. If vinyl’s not your thing, the two tracks are available to download now from Nialler9′s blog.
The single is being given loud launch at the Grand Social this Saturday 24 September, with headline slots split equally between both We Cut Corners and The Danger Is. Mail Order Messiahs will get the ball rolling as the first act and it’s €10 admission.
