A music blog from Ireland.
Something big and bursting with brightness from this extremely gloomy Dublin morning! Forget about the rain scarring the windowpanes by immersing yourself in Laserdisc Dawn, five remixes of tracks from Laserdisc Nights 2, the debut album by Le Galaxie that was released in June.

Laserdisc Dawn Remix EP by Le Galaxie
Bearing the hallmarks of quality from Bantum, Tenaka, Trophy Boyfriend, Gavin Elsted (Herman Y Hermano) and Sean Corcoran (Durtbird), some of Ireland’s brightest and best new musicians and producers made their mark on these. I think my favourites are Tenaka’s reworking of Orion and Herman Y Hermano’s Powers Of Miami - but they all take Le Galaxie into previously-unexplored space.
A new video for Powers of Miami was recently shot with Mark Duggan. Westerly fans of the Le Galaxie ‘Nightdrive’ sound are in for a treat this weekend: they play the Jagermeister Freezer Sessions in Sligo on Saturday 3 December, followed by Waterford on 10 December and Dublin at Crawdaddy on 14 December. Tickets are free.
