A music blog from Ireland.

From Poster Fish, a Christmas funbash/farewell show – the last Dublin gig for Meljoann and Herv who have made plans to shift their musical endeavours away to the English seaside town of Brighton. First however, this mighty line-up is sure to be the finest send-off, featuring a host of fine artists representing the scope of electronic music on offer right now.
If you’re not already aware, Meljoann released her debut album Squick in 2010, packed with top tunes like So Academic above, as well as my own favourites Reptilian and Forward Dream. Listen to the full album stream over on Nialler9′s blog.
Meljoann also works together with Herv as Gland & Conduit. Aka Ewen Hennelly, he has long been regarded as one of the country’s most gifted electronic tastemakers, working with such a broad range of outfits from the Alphabetset.net and Boy Scout Audio to the Richter Collective.
Eomac is the solo project of Ian McDonnell, producer, DJ and 50% of Lakker, while Ilex has released some exceptionally interesting tracks on Bandcamp. While I don’t know the other artists on the bill, it seems that Koolmorf Widesen is coming over from Italy for this show. Those who arrive early will receive free posters, and all told, it sounds like a real gift of a night at just €5.
