An unusual choice of footage for Belfast rapper Bee Mick See‘s new Aw Shucks video, featuring the notorious Seventies’ cartoon character Fritz The Cat. Described as “a persiflage on the protest movements of the 60s. Its hero is the bold and sex-obsessed tom-cat Fritz the Cat, as created by the legendary underground artist Robert Crumb” and it was the first animated film to ever be given an X-rating in the US.

Aw Shucks is available to download free from Bandcamp and is taken from the forthcoming album Tales of Self Preservation Gone Wrong, which is due for release in 2012. Those in Belfast tonight can head along to Slacker at Lavery’s where Bee Mick See plays with Team Fresh. Bands are at 10pm and admission is £3.
