Ooer. This trailer for The Hatch is a tease and really not enough. The point, I guess! The blurb goes straight to my heart: “an eerie ‘folk sci-fi’ telling the story of a fisherman and his son who encounter strange phenomena during a storm off the coast of rural Ireland.”
Last night, the soundtrack for the short film was unveiled, and there’s plenty to dig into, courtesy of Deep Burial/Melodica Deathship‘s George Brennan. It’s a cinematic score which means it’s designed to elicit tension and suspense in the listener and boy he gets it right. The title track’s really a solid piece of electronic music that not only achieves its objective but stands alone as an excellent track in its own right.
