Something special from And So I Watch You From Afar. A tour video from their recent stint in China that documents their travels halfway across the world to give China some of that face-melting rapture. And China in return reminds them that some rockers still smoke at gigs! There’s something truly incredible about seeing this band play live for the first time – I don’t know who was more happy to be there, the band or the fans.

Filmed by Andy Coles on equipment from the sound folks at 45Soundand cut with music from the band – some unheard – it’s everything you’d expect from a tour doc with lots of witty observations and raillery from the lads: Johnny’s wry sense of humour really shines. We meet the incredibly-titled Dostav Dixit as their tour manager, Niall has truly settled in on guitar, they’re travelling in comfort and look as healthy and happy as I’ve ever seen, no doubt prepped up by the exotic air and 36C heat. They’re a long way from Belfast but those old songs sound like they were destined to be played there
