Gig :: Dancing Suns

Fantastic news as an Irish launch gig for Dancing Suns‘ album Goldmine was announced yesterday. Presented by Block T-Offsite, the show will take place in the Pepper Canister Church on 13 April and the Berlin-based band fronted by Nina Hynes and husband Fabien Leseure will perform all the songs from Goldmine with 13 musicians on stage.

Goldmine is without a doubt one of the best albums we’ll hear in 2013 (read my rave review here) and is made all the sweeter by the fact that it came into being by the generosity and faith of Nina Hynes’ fans who helped her reach a €10K target on the FundIt site. Here’s another beaut from the album, the opening track and one of my favourites – you can buy the single from iTunes, or listen on Breaking Tunes. The main video above is Tarnished, which was filmed in Pickering Forest near Celbridge.

Tickets for the gig are priced €15 and support on the night comes from Chequerboard. More information is available on the Facebook event page.
